About
Emily Miller is a ceramic artist in the Greater Boston area. She began taking pottery classes at a local art studio in 2019 and quickly transitioned from student to member. In 2021, she founded Casa Tierra Ceramics, which is Spanish for home and earth. Her work draws inspiration from her time spent outdoors, reflecting the beauty, wonder, and spirit that surrounds her in nature. Emily enjoys creating functional tableware and everyday vessels for the home because it connects her to her upbringing as a first generation Cuban American who grew up gathering around family and food. She feels lucky to have discovered this creative expression, it adds richness and depth to her life.
All pottery is handmade by Emily - a Texas-born Cuban raising a family in New England. When Emily is not working with clay, she can be found outdoors, listening to music, having silly dance parties with her kids, and cooking meals for her friends and family.
